My alarm clock, also known as Elijah, had me up at 6:30 this morning. I brought him to bed with me in hopes of him falling back asleep and allowing me a little more sleep. Instead he took turns poking Chris and me in the face and cooing loudly. It's hard to be mad at such a sweet face. Chris got up with Elijah and Claire and let me sleep another hour, thank goodness. I felt like a zombie. As good of a baby that Elijah is, he is a terrible sleeper. The memories of sleeping all the way through the night (or at least half the night) are becoming more distant. I'm sure by the time he is sleeping through the night, I'll have something else to keep me up. Such is life.

Claire has spent the day playing with two different friends, so it has been nice to get a little more done than normal. Days like this make me feel less guilty about the days we don't do as much. It's so hard getting out and keeping her active (away from cartoons) when it's so cold and yucky, and when I'm trying to keep Elijah on some semblance of a schedule. Preschool has been a lifesaver for me. I'm so glad she gets that interaction a couple days a week. It always makes me smile when she comes home saying how much she loves her new friend "emma".

Elijah is doing more every day. I can't believe he's almost 7 months old already. I remember when Claire was this age, and it honestly feels like yesterday. I'm afraid I'll blink and he'll be Claire's age. They stay little for such a short amount of time. It sounds so cliche', but it's so true. I think he'll be crawling soon. He can get just about anywhere he wants to go by scooting. He's pretty close to figuring out crawling. We'll be in trouble then! He is already so fast!

Next week my mom and I are taking Claire to see Disney Princess on Ice. I'm so excited. I just know she is going to go nuts! I don't know where this obsession came from, but she just loves Disney Princess. She talks all the time about how she's going to have a Disney Princess Birthday next month. And when we ask her who she wants to invite, she responds "Disney Princesses!" She is such a riot!

Well Jeanette, I guess I'm proud of you for being so fearless to put your thoughts and feelings online for the whole world to see :-). I'm just glad I get to hear more about Claire and Elijah. Oh and why wasn't I invited to Disney Princesses on Ice?
