5 years!
Chris and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary today. I can't believe it has been 5 years, but at the same time I feel like I've known Chris forever. We have the best life, and I can't imagine my life without him. He has taught me so much about life, the gospel, and so much more. I am so thankful to him for all he does for me, and for the amazing father that he is to Claire and Elijah. How did I get so lucky? I look forward to sharing many more anniversaries together. I love you, Chris!!

When I grow up.....
Claire informed me last week that when she grew up, she wanted to be a ballerina and a fairy. Because she would get to wear a sparkly outfit, have a sparkly wand, and wear cute shoes. :)
It's good to know she understands the importance of cute shoes at such a young age.
Elijah took his first official step yesterday. I can't believe I have a walker. He hasn't been too interested since then, but I know it's only a matter of time. Elijah is seriously one of the happiest kids I've ever been around. He always has the biggest smiles. Well, unless it's the middle of the night and I want him to sleep in his crib :/ He's 10 months and still not sleeping through the night. I have a hard time remembering when I got a full night of uninterupted sleep. I wasn't even sleeping through the night while I was pregnant. I think I woke at least 2 times a night to pee. Sadly, I would kill to be only woken twice a night now.
On June 11, my grandpa, John Hansen, who has been struggling with Parkinson's Disease for the last 15+ years passed away. I just wanted to take a moment to say that he was an amazing man who I loved very much. While I will miss him very much, I'm thankful he no longer has to live the life that he has been living. I love you, Grandpa

This and That
Today I went up to my mom and Garr's house for Garr's birthday. Claire loves birthday parties and immediately went to her room to make Grandpa something special when I told her we would be going to grandma and grandpa's house. She asked me what color grandpa liked, and then went to work on a picture of a dog. She was so excited to give it to him, and the whole way up kept talking about how excited Grandpa would be and how much she knew he would love it. She is just the sweetest little girl. I love her to pieces.
Elijah is getting to be more of a sweetheart. I think he will be walking any day now. He tried several times to take a step tonight, and one time I would say he did, but fell almost immediately. I can't believe I will have walker soon! aaah!
Chris and I have been busy trying to get our business launched, and we're also talking about taking a roadtrip at the end of the month out to Indiana to visit Chris's family. Am I crazy for thinking a roadtrip would be fun with 2 small children? I'm looking forward to it. We haven't done a roadtrip since we first got married. Hopefully we'll be able to go. I know Chris's parents want to see the kids. It's hard for them to be so far away from them. I take for granted that my family is so close.
I took Claire and Elijah to the Dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving point last weekend. Claire had a good time, and Elijiah, well....he wasn't all that interested :) I didn't get much of a chance to enjoy it. I had just finished an hour long power pump/interval class at the gym, and I just didn't gave the energy to carry Elijah and chase Claire for 2 hours. But, it got us out of the house, and Claire had fun, so that's enough for me. There is nothing like seeing your children light up in happiness and excitement.
Claire running from one exhibit to the next. She didn't want to go near the T-rex :)
Riding on the dinosour head, lol
Digging for bones.....I think she found some! :)
