Our most exciting news is that we bought our first home in August. It is in Pleasant Grove, and right up next to the mountain so we have a gorgeous view of the entire valley and nobody behind us except mountains. We love having our own place and the kids love all the space. The house is 2600 sq ft with 5 bedrooms (+ an office) so there is definitely room to grow.
Chris and I also just had birthdays earlier this month. Nothing too exciting for me, but Chris hit the big 3-0, so I threw a little party for him to celebrate his old age. Happy Birthday sweetie!
Chris and I also got new callings in our ward teaching the 10 & 11 year old boys in primary. They actually gave us the calling our very first Sunday. They probably wanted us to agree before we could hear anything about these boys that would make us turn down the calling :). They are a handful but good kids. We are also speaking in church tomorrow, so that should be fun. We are actually recycling talks. We spoke in our old ward in February, so we thought that would be okay (but we did get permission)
Claire is 4 1/2 but she acts more like she's 16. We're in for it when she actually IS 16. But she can be a real sweetheart, and when she wants to be, she is a great big sister. She goes to preschool 3 days a week, and is learning so much. She is getting really close to being able to ready by herself. I'm really excited about that, because that will open up a whole new world for her. She is a social butterfly and is always wanting to have friends over to play. Especially now that she has a big enough house for all of her toys!
Elijah turned 2 in August and is your typical 2 year old boy. Love balls, cars, trucks, and throwing tantrums when we can't read his mind. His blond curls are irresistible and hard to say no to. He is quite the little jabber mouth and is always surprising us with what he can say. Most recently I've noticed how polite he is. He is always saying "thank you" and "your welcome" (well, it sounds more like "ank uuuu" and "oo elcome") and even said "excuse me" to a little girl at the park the other day who was in his way. How cute is he? I love this age and hate it all at the same time. I wish I could bottle up his cuteness so I never forget these moments.
There is nothing too exciting going on with Chris and me. I like it this way. We are just enjoying our good fortune and our many many blessings. This week I am starting a new workout program because I need something new to motivate me. So I'm trying one called C25K (couch to 5K) so I'll keep you all posted on that one (is there anyone still there? I haven't posted in ages!)I'm thinking about holing up at home with the family until Spring to avoid all the yucky sickness that is going around. I have a feeling this is going to be a rough cold and flu season! Here are a couple pictures I snapped from my phone the other day of the kids.....

I was just thinking of you the other day. Sorry I never got back to you or got to the phone in time. Life has definitely gotten crazier with school back up again. I'm excited for you with your new house. I bet your loving it. And I agree with the winter/sickness thing. It has already begun at our house, and it has been awful! Wish you luck in that department. If you ever need a sitter down here, call me. If I'm around, we'd love to have your kids over!
I hope your talks went well today! I'm sure you did great! I want to see pictures of your new house!
Congrats on the new house, it sound nice. Your kids are adorable, I can't believe Claire is almost in kindergarten, I bet she is going to love it.
Oh, my goodness, those curls! They ARE irresistible. Quinn is in the exact same stage, and I just want to press pause for a little while. So snuggly and talky. Love it!
P.S. to answer your question--we're moving to Portland OR.
